Assistant General Counsel

Pollack Badawi Group is recruiting a full-time Assistant General Counsel to join the legal team of a leading energy storage company.  The Assistant General Counsel will work closely with the legal team to manage stand-alone storage, hybrid storage, and distributed generation solar projects. The Assistant General Counsel will also advise on general corporate matters including corporate entity structure and management, compliance, and corporate policies. This position reports to the General Counsel and will engage directly with the business development, investment, asset management, strategy, engineering, and operations teams in their day-to-day functions.

Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years experience at a law firm or in-house with a focus on energy or infrastructure projects
• Experience with energy storage agreements, PPAs, EPCs, O&Ms, project or SPV sale and acquisition agreements, project structuring for storage and/or renewable energy facilities, and the development of renewable energy facilities
• Experience with warranty claims and the lifespan of dispute resolution
• Experience with securities regulation, compliance, and public disclosure principles
• Regulatory awareness of the power markets in the US
• Spanish is a plus, but not required.
